Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Halo Button mobile app, web portal, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Halo Button provides a voice AI platform and operator console for hospitality businesses (hotels, restaurants, cafés). Subscriptions are sold to businesses ("Customers"). Individual staff and operator users ("Users") access the Service on behalf of a Customer.

You retain ownership of content you and your business upload to the Service (menus, knowledge base entries, request data, etc.). You grant Halo Button a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content as needed to operate the Service.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Halo Button subscriptions are sold to Customers through our web portal, not inside the mobile app. The mobile app shows plan status read-only. Billing, invoices, and tax are handled through our payment processor (Stripe).

Refunds are reviewed case by case under our refund policy. Contact your account manager or support@halobutton.com. Apple and Google do not process refunds for Halo Button subscriptions because purchases are not made through their stores.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to the Service or to other users. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see Privacy Policy, section 9).

7. Service availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and improve it over time. We may add, change, or remove features. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce functionality you depend on.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (push notification gateways, cloud hosting, payment processing). Their availability is outside our control. Their terms and privacy practices apply to the parts they handle.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Halo Button disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Halo Button does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Halo Button is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, even if advised of the possibility. Halo Button's aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount the Customer paid Halo Button in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Halo Button against claims arising from (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) content you upload, or (c) your unauthorized use of the Service.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Halo Button is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence require otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced inside the app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
